A New Idea for Occasionwear
Our new direction for Studio Hertzberg, starting in 2027, originated from a personal experience.
Ahead of a wedding invitation, I found myself facing a question many probably know: What should I wear? I was looking for a dress that felt truly special – and at the same time, this thought came to mind: What if someone else at the wedding wears the exact same dress?
With dresses from large fashion chains, that's not at all unlikely.
From this thought, a new idea gradually developed for Studio Hertzberg: Occasionwear that is not created for as many people as possible, but intentionally only in small quantities.
For our new editions, we select special fabrics, including limited deadstock materials from Italian fashion houses. Many of these are only available in a few meters. As a result, sometimes only a few pieces are made of one design. Once a fabric is used up, the edition ends.
The new collections are designed for special occasions – for weddings, dinners, celebrations, and those moments when you consciously want to dress differently. We don't design for a single season or a specific trend. Our pieces are meant to be pulled out of the wardrobe for a special occasion years later, as a matter of course.
Special fabrics. Small editions. Designed for occasions that last.
