WASH AND CARE TIPS

CUPRO

Proper care helps our garments maintain their quality, fit, and color for as long as possible. With a few simple care instructions, you can enjoy them for a long time.

DETERGENT

For colourful garments, it's best to use a colour or dark laundry detergent. Heavy-duty detergents may contain bleach or brighteners and are only suitable for pure white laundry. Colours may bleed slightly during the first few washes. Therefore, please always wash with similar colours only.

WASH

Cupro should be washed as little as possible to maintain its quality. It is best to hang the garment to air or have it dry-cleaned. If necessary, wash at a maximum of 30 degrees on a gentle cycle (delicate wash) with the lowest spin speed.

DRY

Cupro prefers to be air-dried inside out, either laid flat on a drying rack or hanging on a hanger, and dislikes direct sunlight. Gently pull the garment into shape before hanging it. Never tumble dry.

IRONING

Cupro should be ironed when slightly damp, at a low temperature without steam.

SPOT TREATMENT

For stains on Cupro, it is best to take the garment to the dry cleaner.

STORAGE

Cupro clothing prefers to be stored hanging, away from strong light. So, ideally in a wardrobe.

Washing and Care Tips

General washing instructions

The following simple washing instructions are important for all materials!

1. Wash as little as necessary

Every wash cycle can damage the fibres and colours of a garment. Therefore, only wash your clothes as often as necessary to preserve their quality and appearance for as long as possible. This applies in particular to garments made from natural fibres such as cotton, linen, and silk, as well as regenerated fibres such as Lyocell/TENCEL™ and Cupro. Often, it is sufficient to air out the garment well after wearing or shake it out gently before wearing it again.

2. Check the care label

Always check the care label before washing and follow the care instructions provided. Proper care helps to preserve the material, shape, and color for as long as possible and avoids unnecessary wear and tear.

3. Gentle wash

If your garment needs washing, first take a look at the care label and note the care instructions provided there. Use a mild detergent and, if possible, avoid bleach and fabric softener, as these can put additional strain on fibres and materials. If the care label allows it, air drying is a particularly gentle method and helps to preserve the shape, colour and material properties for as long as possible.
