WASHING AND CARE TIPS

LYOCELL/TENCEL™

Before washing your garment, take a look at the care label and follow the care instructions. This will help maintain the material, shape, and colour for as long as possible and prevent damage.

DETERGENT

For colorful garments, it is best to use dark laundry detergent or detergent specifically for Lyocell/Tencel™. Heavy-duty detergents may contain bleach or brighteners and are only suitable for pure white laundry. During the first few washes, colors in garments may bleed a little. Therefore, always wash only with similar colors.

WASH

Lyocell/Tencel™ should only be washed when necessary to preserve the fiber's properties for as long as possible. Often, simply airing out the garment after wearing is sufficient. If washing is required, a gentle wash cycle (delicates) at a low temperature is recommended. Wash the garment inside out and, if possible, avoid high spin speeds.

DRY

Lyocell/Tencel™ dries most gently when laid flat on a drying rack or hung on a hanger. Avoid direct sunlight if possible. Gently reshape the garment before drying and do not tumble dry.

IRONING

Lyocell/Tencel™ should be ironed when slightly damp at a low ironing temperature without steam.

STAIN REMOVAL

If you have stains on lyocell clothing, it's best not to rub the spot directly. Instead, apply a suitable stain remover to the stain, let it work, and then wash as instructed.

STORAGE

Lyocell/Tencel™ clothing prefers to be stored hanging without strong light exposure. So preferably in the wardrobe.

Washing and care instructions

General washing instructions

The following simple washing instructions are important for all materials!

1. Wash as little as necessary

Every wash cycle can stress the fibres and colours of a garment. Therefore, only wash your clothes as often as necessary to maintain their quality for as long as possible. This applies in particular to natural fibres such as cotton, linen, and silk, as well as to regenerated fibres such as Lyocell/Tencel™ and Cupro. Often, it is sufficient to air out the garment or shake it lightly before wearing it again.

2. Take a look at the care label

Before washing, you should always take a look at the care label and wash the garment according to the care instructions. This way, the material, shape and color can be preserved for as long as possible and damage can be avoided.

3. Gentle wash

If your garment needs washing, first take a look at the care label. Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach and fabric softener, as these can damage the fibers. Air drying is particularly gentle for most fibers and helps preserve their shape, color, and material properties for as long as possible.
